Latest projections for Kelvin Joseph going into Rounds 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft
With Jamin Davis headed to Washington with the No. 19 pick, cornerback Kelvin Joseph is likely the next Kentucky Wildcat to hear his name called at the 2021 NFL Draft. As we prepare for rounds two and three tonight, here’s a look at the latest projections for Joseph, who transferred to Kentucky from LSU and played nine games this past season, finishing with four interceptions.
CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso believes Joseph won’t have to wait long, predicting he’ll go to Arizona with the 17th pick in the second round, 49th overall. Trapasso’s colleague Josh Edwards lists Joseph as the 19th best player still available (47th overall), writing that he could end up being the best cornerback in the draft class but lacks experience.
Over at NFL.com, Lance Zierlein has Joseph going to New Orleans at pick No. 60. Sports Illustrated’s Gary Gramling and Conor Orr have him slipping to the third round, with Cincinnati selecting him with pick No. 69.

The Bengals added Chidobe Awuzie on the boundary and Mike Hilton in the slot this offseason, but the search for quality corners should continue. Joseph is fast and fluid, and his long arms allow him to play bigger than his listed size. He’s the kind of high-upside prospect the Bengals should try to develop before they turn to free agency again.
ESPN insider Mike Tannenbaum included Joseph in his list of the best available players heading into tonight:
