On Wednesday evening, the college football head coach carousel got moving again after we all thought everything was over when Michigan promoted offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore to head football coach last week.

The path to the championship game is clear
After just one season with the franchise, offensive coordinator Dave Canales was hired to be the new Carolina Panthers head coach. That has forced head coach Todd Bowles to find a third offensive coordinator in three years. Liam Coen is in the mix.
Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that the Bucs will be interviewing Liam Coen for their opening play-calling position. Coen is one of numerous candidates to own a previous working relationship with Mayfield. Tampa has also interviewed former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and Los Angeles Rams passing game specialist Jake Peetz. Each has spent time with Mayfield in the past.
With Coen holding the title of offensive coordinator with the Rams in 2023, Mayfield threw for 850 yards (6.6 yards per per attempt) and owned a 63.6 percent completion rate with four touchdowns and two interceptions in five appearances.
There is still a chance that Kentucky could see an offensive coordinator go one-and-done again. The carousel watch is not over yet.
