LISTEN: Will Levis, Tayvion Robinson Preview Kentucky Football Season on KSR
The top weapons in Rich Scangarello’s 2022 aerial attack made a pitstop on Kentucky Sports Radio before the Wildcats report to preseason camp. Quarterback Will Levis caught us up on his exciting offseason and looked ahead to the future, while Virginia Tech transfer Tayvion Robinson peeled back the curtain to share what he’s bringing to the BBN.
Tayvion Robinson
Robinson spent his first three seasons in Blacksburg. After seeing what another Mr. Robinson did in the slot for Kentucky, the opportunity to move to Lexington was irresistible. After living in Lexington for eight months, he’s happy he made the move, and for more than one reason.
It also may have been a case of, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.” Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond busted Robinson’s chops about Kentucky’s 2019 Belk Bowl win where he caught a couple of passes for 18 yards. He was not in the middle of the pregame melee, but he remembers it well.
“I was in the middle of the locker room and I saw it on TV,” said Tayvion Robinson. “I’m watching it and I’m like, ‘Oh, that is right out there, not even 100 feet away.’ Half the people ran out of the locker room and the coaches tried to make us stay in. That was crazy.”
Will Levis
You’ve heard from the Kentucky quarterback plenty of times this offseason. Today’s conversation on KSR touched on some of the same topics, but it was not quite business as usual.
Of course, he discussed Tim Couch’s golf game and something they share in common: the demands of being QB1. Levis learned a valuable lesson this offseason.

“The biggest thing I’ve learned how to do throughout this whole process is just tell people ‘No.’ I think just with this attention, I’m just such a nice guy and it’s hard for me to kind of just tell someone ‘Hey, I got something I gotta focus on today. I don’t feel like taking an hour out of my day to go on your radio show or podcast,'” said Will Levis.
“It’s just a matter of making sure that I am allotting is enough time that I need to for what actually matters.”
Kentucky’s quarterback has his priorities in line as he prepares for a potentially historic season in Lexington.
