Kentucky Sports Radio’s two biggest topics lately have been the show’s music and Kentucky Basketball, so a caller from the early days, Fake Barney, resurfaced to combine both. Fake Barney broke his long radio silence on Monday to express his frustration with the Wildcats in song. He called in with a parody rendition of “End Of The Road,” featuring a call for change in the Big Blue Nation.

Though funny, it sounds like our friend Fake Barney is down badly after Saturday’s loss. While it was good to hear from him after so long, we hope our Big Blue Dinosaur is all right.

I’ll leave you with Kentucky Joe’s “Thundercats” from a couple of weeks ago for a more positive tune.

Listen to Monday’s Show

If you missed Monday’s show, you can find both hours in podcast form on iHeart’s website or however you consume music and podcasts. Today’s show was the first look back at the loss to Tennessee on Saturday, with opinions of what’s next and how to move forward. Fake Barney is one of many callers to join the conversation.

KSR at Whiskey Thief this Friday

This coming Friday, join the KSR crew at Whiskey Thief Distillery in rural Franklin County for the KSR Pregame Show and the two-hour broadcast of KSR from 9 a.m. to noon. Whiskey Thief is the home of Kentucky’s first-and-only thieve-your-own bourbon experience, so head out to 283 Crab Orchard Road in Frankfort for a fun morning before a critical Saturday in Lexington with Gonzaga in town.

Go Cats.
