LOOK: Brandon Garrison arrives on campus; more jersey numbers revealed
Nearly all of the 2024-25 Kentucky men’s basketball roster has moved into their new campus homes. Throughout the week, future Wildcats have been settling into the Wildcat Coal Lodge next to (a still being renovated) Memorial Coliseum as they prepare for the offseason in Lexington.
One of the players to make the trip this week was transfer center Brandon Garrison. As they’ve done for every ‘Cat, the men’s basketball social media account documented his arrival — and like the rest, he also understands the assignment that Mark Pope has been preaching.
“What’s up BBN, it’s Brandon Garrison here,” the Oklahoma State transfer said. “Just got all moved in and excited to be here. I understand the assignment.”
A rising sophomore, Garrison is considered to be the player with the highest NBA potential on Pope’s debut Kentucky roster. A former McDonald’s All-American, the 6-foot-11 big man averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 22.7 minutes while shooting 57.2 percent for the Cowboys in 2023-24.
