LOOK: Devin Booker gifts Kentucky new Valentine's Day Book Chapter 1s

By now you know Devin Booker‘s relationship with Mark Pope and the Kentucky basketball program remains strong. The Phoenix Suns superstar gifted the team a pair of his special edition Nike Book Chapter 1 shoes to open the regular season, honoring the 1996 national championship squad with 34-2 on the tongue and the old Wildcat logo all over.
“These are incredible, right?” Pope said at the time. “… Conveniently, Book One is chapter one, which is very relevant to us. Super cool.”

Then Booker wore a new version of those sneakers in the NBA, a white colorway with blue trim and that same beautiful Wildcat logo we all know and love.

Now? We’ve got a third version of the Book Chapter 1s — and it’s timely for Valentine’s Day weekend. Booker gifted another team set of pink sneakers for the team to wear when the Wildcats take on Texas in Austin on Saturday.

They’re light pink with a darker shade on the front sole and orange accents on the tongue, inside and on the back sole.
The name? “Book Chapter 1: Sunrise.”
”Celebrating Valentine’s Day with the new D-Book’s,” the Kentucky men’s basketball team wrote.

“Devin Booker is a superstar man,” Pope said. “You think about Devin Booker, came here and played on one of the all-time great teams in Kentucky, never started a game, played 20 minutes a game, on a great team that ran the table, except one game. Dude’s going to be the MVP in the NBA here this year, the next year, or the year after. It’s incredible. He’s a great ambassador for this game and certainly a great ambassador for Kentucky.”
The all-time leading scorer of the Phoenix Suns being a close friend of the program never hurts.
Now, where can I get a pair?
