LOOK: Gov. Beshear signs NIL bill with Calipari, Stoops, Elzy and Howard in attendance

It was a historic day in Kentucky, as Gov. Andy Beshear signed Senate Bill 6 into law, allowing student-athletes to profit off of their name, image and likeness. He did so with the support of coaches from the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Murray State, Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky and Bellarmine all in attendance at the Capitol.
As for UK’s representatives, men’s basketball coach John Calipari, women’s basketball coach Kyra Elzy, women’s basketball superstar Rhyne Howard and head football coach Mark Stoops were all in Frankfort. Calipari and Howard served as speakers at the ceremony.
