LOOK: John Calipari is booed at Rupp Arena

Will Big Blue Nation boo John Calipari as he makes his return to Rupp Arena? That answer is yes — although it wasn’t a total consensus.

Some fans loudly cheered for Coach Cal as he walked through the opposing tunnel while many — and definitely more — booed, leaving one heck of a smirk on the Hall of Fame coach’s face. It was one heck of a reaction and well worth the build-up since April.

Take a look at the scene from Rupp Arena:

Calipari wasn’t the only one booed when making his grand entrance — the entire Arkansas team was, too. That includes familiar faces (and fan favorites) Adou Thiero and Zvonimir Ivisic even during pregame warmups.

Boos directed toward DJ Wagner were even louder.

And the official starting lineups — plus the pop from Coach Cal with the mix of cheers and boos.
