It’s officially video game week. After 11 years on the sideline, EA Sports College Football ‘25 is returning to consoles this week, starting with the deluxe edition tonight at midnight. Before BBN picks up the sticks, we got a peak at what Kroger Field looks like in the highly-anticipated game.

College Football ‘25 is probably going to be great. That doesn’t mean they get everything right.

EA ambassadors and select members of the media have early access to the game. In our first look of the intro at Kroger Field, it’s not exactly what Kentucky football fans will see this fall.

First and foremost, the Big Blue Drum plays a prominent role in the intro. The Big Blue Drum was a failed experiment that hasn’t been a part of pregame ceremonies since the pandemic. The large drum still exists in the bowels of Kroger Field, but it’s out of commission.

There is an omission that will disappoint many Kentucky fans, although it’s one we knew was on the horizon. Waka Flocka’s Grove Street Party is sadly not apart of the pregame intro. Licensing fees ain’t cheap. It’s why you probably won’t hear Baba O’Reilly between the Hedges or Won’t Back Down in The Swamp.
