LOOK: Kentucky reacts to No. 3 seed and NCAA Tournament draw
Kentucky is heading to Pittsburgh, taking on Oakland in the 3-14 matchup in the South Region. It’s a homecoming for Tre Mitchell, Adou Thiero and — oh yeah, John Calipari. Orlando Antigua also played and coached at Pittsburgh, among other local ties around the program.
Beyond that, it’s a five-plus hour drive from Lexington — doable for friends, family and fans. Infinitely more so than, say, Spokane.

How does the team feel about it all? KSR was inside Coach Cal’s house during the bracket reveal to get the live reaction from players and coaches. To say there was excitement would be an understatement.
“We’re going to Adou’s crib!” one person in the audience screamed.
Shortly before the announcement, Jay Wright was talking about Kentucky changing his offensive philosophy this season and how it’s changed the Wildcats’ overall identity.
Calipari’s response? “No, I just don’t have any defenders.”
More from Coach Cal’s house shortly.
