Kentucky football’s facilities are receiving a makeover this offseason.

Both Kroger Field and Nutter Field House are currently undergoing renovations, which began this month and plan to be completed by the time practice resumes in August. On Wednesday, UK Athletics sent out a quick update on the recent progress.

A new surface installation for Kroger Field is coming along nicely with the team logos and on-field details expected to be added soon. Meanwhile, Nutter Field House, Kentucky football’s indoor practice facility, has begun to see its own renovations. In total, $5 million will be needed to turn Nutter Field House into a full field and a football-only facility. Kentucky is the last football program in the SEC without a full 120-yard indoor field, but that won’t be the case for much longer.

Ground has also been broken on the new track and field building, which is being called the Jim Green Indoor Track and Field Center. It is being built adjacent to the outdoor track facility at the site of the old Cliff Hagan Stadium. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
