LOOK: New Wildcats in Action at Kentucky Spring Football Practice
A few new Wildcats are rocking Kentucky blue for the first time. The Kentucky football team kicked off spring practice Monday morning, providing about a dozen players a chance to suit up for the first time at the Joe Craft Football Training Center.
One newcomer already caught Mark Stoops’ eye, defensive lineman Keeshawn Silver. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound defensive lineman passes the early look test.
One freshman will see early snaps thanks to injuries. Three tight ends will be sidelined by offseason surgeries, providing an unexpected opportunity for Under Armour All-American Khamari Anderson.
You’ll see plenty of Devin Leary in No. 13 this preseason. He’s on a throw count, but Mark Stoops did not even notice. Another transfer, Ray Davis is wearing No. 1 in the backfield this fall.
