Western Hills High School is not exactly known as a football factory, and yet the small school in Frankfort has produced some of the highest-ranked prospects to come from the state of Kentucky over the last five years. When the latest star, Javeon Campbell, was prepared to announce his college decision, Wan’Dale Robinson was there to support him.

Before he was a New York Giant, Robinson was setting single-season receiving records at Kentucky. He cannot wait to see what Campbell can do once he puts on a Kentucky football uniform.

“I’m excited,” Robinson told KSR. “(Vince) Marrow texted me so I kinda knew a little bit, but I was excited. I’m glad we got another one up there.”

Vince Marrow was the primary recruiter for both in-state stars. Kentucky’s maestro on the recruiting trail has already logged commitments from four Top 200 talents in the 2025 recruiting class and more could soon join the fold. Even when he misses, he finds a way to eventually win.

“He got me in high school at first. I felt like I had to do what was best for me at the end of the day, but he got me back,” Robinson said. “He knows exactly what he’s doing.”

Even though the two attended the same high school, Campbell and Robinson took very different paths. The future Wildcat did not begin playing football until last fall. His quick ascension has been eye-opening for everyone, including Robinson.

“I don’t know what that’s like. I’ve been playing since I was five years old. To see what he just did in the short amount of time, it’s unbelievable,” said the former Cat.

In a conversation with KSR, Robinson talked about his upcoming third season with the New York Giants. He also shared a little insight on what he’s seen from the upcoming Kentucky football team while working out at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
