Kentucky commit Lorenzo Cowan takes official visit to USC
Most everyone’s attention in college football is on the transfer portal right now, but some important work in high school recruiting is also being done. Kentucky hosted multiple official visitors this weekend and locked up a commitment preventing a potential SEC flip. However, there was another Kentucky commit who was on another campus.
Savannah (Ga.) Jenkins EDGE Lorenzo Cowan committed to Kentucky on Sept. 10 following an official visit. That was not the final official visit the three-star recruit would take.

The Trojans offered Lorenzo Cowan in October and have continued to recruit the EDGE prospect following the hire of new defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn. Kentucky currently has five outside linebacker prospects committed in the class of 2024 and Cowan might have the best pass rush potential of the bunch. Cowan is a bendy edge rusher who can win quickly off the edge. Add in a strong athletic background, there are many reasons to think that Cowan will eventually turn into a well-rounded front seven defender who can impact the game in multiple ways.
Stay tuned for what appears to be a developing recruitment.
