Our dreams of a Kentucky vs. Louisville bowl game are officially dead. In his Signing Day press conference, Scott Satterfield said the Cards will not participate in the postseason.

“Vince [Tyra] has been in communication with the ACC this week and we’re not in line for a bowl. So, we’re moving forward for next season.”

The Cards finish 2020 with a 4-7 record, with wins over Western Kentucky, Florida State, Syracuse, and Wake Forest. They’re the sixth ACC team to opt out of bowl consideration, joining Virginia Tech, Boston College, Pitt, Virginia, and Georgia Tech. The Hokies’ 27-year bowl streak, the nation’s longest, will come to an end.

Meanwhile, signs continue to point to Kentucky playing in either the Music City or Liberty Bowls, with Nashville still considered the frontrunner. We’ll find out for sure on Sunday.
