LSU advanced to play Kentucky in the SEC Baseball Tournament
Game 1 of the SEC Baseball Tournament is final, meaning Kentucky now knows its first opponent in Hoover, Alabama. On Wednesday, the Wildcats will play LSU, the tournament’s No. 11 seed, on the second day of tournament play. Kentucky and LSU will meet at 10:30 a.m. EDT (or 9:30 a.m. local time for anyone in or traveling to Hoover Met Stadium).
On Tuesday, LSU beat Georgia, the No. 6 seed, to advance in the top half of the bracket, while the Dawgs head home from the only single-elimination round of the SEC Tournament. The Tigers scored nine runs on 14 hits while redshirt sophomore Gage Jump gave up one Georgia run in seven innings pitched for the win.
