Makayla Epps is "very excited" about Kentucky WBB under Kenny Brooks

On the KSR radio show on Thursday, Marion County legends Anthony and Makayla Epps hopped on in hour two to not only discuss what they’re up to nowadays, but to also speak on what they think of the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Kentucky.
Makayla specifically had some very positive things to say regarding the ‘Cats under first year head coach Kenny Brooks.
“I’m very excited [about the current state of the Kentucky women’s basketball program],” Makayla said. “I feel like we needed a culture change, and Kenny Brooks is the man. Coming from Virginia Tech, I knew Coach Brooks from afar. A couple of my friends played for him at Virginia Tech.”
She added, “I’m excited to actually get to meet him next week. I’m going up [to Lexington] next week to meet the players, meet Coach Brooks and just be back home. So, I’m very excited about the girl’s program.”

Additionally, Makayla also dove deeper, talking about some of the players on this year’s team and what she thinks of them.
“Georgia Amoore is a dog. She’s a ball player. Then, you got your Kentucky kids that are still part of the team — Cassidy Rowe. I’m very proud of her for sticking it out and not transferring like some did. Obviously, it’s always go big blue, so I wish my girls the best always.”
