Some dudes just have it in them. Malik Monk is one of those dudes.

Hitting dagger after dagger after dagger during his ridiculous one-year career at Kentucky, the former five-star is doing the same in the NBA. This time, it’s a game-winner for Sacramento in the Kings’ matchup vs. the Golden State Warriors.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really know the ins and outs of the NBA in-season tournament, but it sounds cool. And this shot helped the Kings win West Group C (we’re gonna pretend to know what this means) after going 4-0 in group play (same there). It put them in the event quarterfinals (now we’re talking), Sacramento set to host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.

Enough of that nonsense, watch the shot — a double-clutch heave from just inside the free-throw line.

That came after Monk drilled a three with 37 seconds to go to make it a one-point game in the first place. A 24-point deficit erased thanks to the former Wildcat, who scored the final five to win it for the Kings.

Monk finished with 21 points on 8-15 shooting and 3-7 from three to go with three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 26 minutes. His former Kentucky backcourtmate, De’Aaron Fox, added a team-high 29 points while fellow Cat Trey Lyles scored 11 himself off the bench.

It didn’t get more electric than Monk in Lexington. Let’s watch some of his best moments in a Kentucky jersey, shall we?

Just doing what he does best.
