Malik Newman says he'll narrow his list at the end of the summer

malik-newman Malik Newman is right atop UK's 2015 wish list. Newman played in the EYBL event in Minnesota this past weekend, and put in a pair of impressive games, with 27 and 17 points in each, showing why he's the number one player in his class. Those that have followed Newman's recruitment the past few years know that he's notoriously tight lipped about it, choosing to put all of his energy into his game instead. The 6'3" combo guard has offers from a dozen schools, and confirmed that he hosted UConn, Kansas, NC State, Mississippi State, and Kentucky on in-home visits this spring, and that he and Diamond Stone plan to go through with the package deal. When should we expect some real news on his recruitment? Newman told Rivals' Eric Bossi that he plans to narrow his list to five by the end of the summer. Until then, we'll just have to enjoy his highlights. Malik's one-handed putback dunk was good enough for the #1 spot in BallisLife's top plays of the EYBL event.
