The future of Kentucky Baseball is bright following its first ever trip to the Men’s College World Series in 2024.

You can continue to get a look at the future this summer, as many Cats are partaking in summer baseball all across the country.

Soon-to-be sophomores Griffin Cameron, Ethan Hindle, Hudson Brown, Kyuss Gargett, Eli Small, Landon Franklin, Evan Hart, and Jake Titus are all getting better this offseason before they return to Lexington next season.

Here’s where to keep up with them at.

Griffin Cameron and Ethan Hindle

Griffin Cameron & Ethan Hindle (Lakeshore Chinooks)

Sophomores outfielder Griffin Cameron (who started in center field in Kentucky’s season opener against USC-Upstate last season) and infielder Ethan Hindle are playing summer ball with the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League.

In nine games, Cameron is 15-36 (team-leading .417 batting average) at the plate with a double, six RBI, and 10 stolen bases. He has stolen 44 bags already the past two summers.

Hindle has played in nine games as well, where he’s slashing a .323 average (10-31) with four doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI.

Cameron played in nine games as a freshman, where he hit for a .190 batting average (4-21) with four RBI and two stolen bases. Hindle played in seven games, but went just 1-12 (.083) at the plate.

Hudson Brown, Kyuss Gargett & Eli Small (Lincoln Potters)

Sophomores infielder Hudson Brown, infielder Kyuss Gargett, and catcher/outfielder Eli Small are playing summer ball with the Lincoln Potters, who are apart of the Pacific Empire League based in Lincoln, California.

Hudson Brown, who didn’t see any playing time at Kentucky last season, is tied for second on the team with 29 hits in 86 at-bats (.337 BA). Small has played 11 games, where he is 10-37 (.270 BA) at the plate with a double and six RBI. Gargett has played in just four games, where he’s 3-6 with five walks and two RBI.

Gargett and Small both played in 12 games each last season. Gargett hit for a .143 BA (3-21), with all three hits being extra-base hits (double, triple, home run).

Small garnered just 11 at-bats, but his pinch-hit game-tying RBI-double in the eighth inning of Kentucky’s May 10 win over Florida was essential in the Cats’ first series victory over the Gators since 2016.

Landon Franklin, Evan Hart & Jake Titus (Bethesda Big Train)

Sophomores left-handed pitcher Evan Hart, right-handed pitcher Jake Titus, and infielder Landon Franklin are playing summer ball with the Bethesda Big Train, a member of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League based in Bethesda, Maryland.

Titus is the lone player to have seen game action in 2024 for Kentucky. The right-hander pitched 2 2/3 innings, where he allowed six earned runs (20.25 ERA) with two strikeouts. Four of his six earned runs came by way of a Tommy White grand slam in the 2024 SEC Tournament.
