Mark Pope, Otega Oweh, and Big Blue Nation took over the SEC Network set

Before Big Blue Nation took over Broadway to celebrate Otega Oweh‘s game-winner, many fans stuck around Bridgestone Arena to party inside. Over at the SEC Network’s set in the corner, Kentucky fans surrounded the panel during the live postgame broadcast, chanting “Go-Big-Blue!” to show off the passion of the best fans in college basketball.
“This is special,” said Dari Nowkhah over the sound of BBN around him. “It’s just one of those things, I want to let it breathe a little bit here.”
Otega Oweh and Mark Pope pulled up to the set after celebrating on the court as a team. Oweh broke down the final stretch in which he turned the ball over twice, then made up for his mistakes with the game’s final basket.

Pope chimed in to say, “There’s not a lot of human beings walking on the planet that can go through those two plays and have that third play. It’s just a credit to his character, man, and the character of our team, and I’m really proud of these guys.”
When asked about the Kentucky fans who completely took over the arena in support of the Wildcats, Pope replied, “It’s a fact: there is no fan base like this in the world. That Otega gets to wear this across his chest, and I get to wear it on my chest, and we get to be a part of this family… You can’t understand it until you’ve lived it.
