Kentucky went into the game against Oklahoma the healthiest it had been in weeks, if not months. But by the time the buzzer sounded and the Wildcats left with an 83-82 win, there were more questions than answers about individual player health.

Lamont Butler (shoulder) looked like his old self in 20 minutes of action in his first game back after missing the previous three, but Jaxson Robinson was not as lucky. After sitting out the last four games due to a wrist injury, he saw just 12 minutes in the first half against Oklahoma before sitting out the entire second half. He was sporting a giant ice wrap on his injured hand following halftime.

The issues didn’t stop there though. Andrew Carr, who had been looking much better after weeks of dealing with back spasms, was seen on the exercise bike in the second half. Amari Williams also rolled his ankle in the first half. He crashed to the ground after an Oklahoma player flopped on a Williams post-up. The big man ended up playing the rest of the game, but it’s something he appears to still be dealing with a couple of days later.

“Lamont came out great, Jaxson not so great, Andrew Carr came out really well,” Head coach Mark Pope said Friday. “Amari seems like he had a decent day yesterday, we’ll know more about him today. So a little bit of a mixed bag.”

To sum it up, the good news is Butler and Carr appear to be fine moving forward. The bad news though is Robinson might find himself back on the bench while Williams’ status remains up in the air. Kentucky will need everything it can get out of the entire roster when No. 1 Auburn comes to Rupp Arena Saturday afternoon. We’ll have a much clearer idea of who might or might not play once the SEC Availabilty Report is released this evening.
