Mark Stoops' Monday Press Conference | Georgia Week
Mark Stoops opened his Monday press conference by thanking the fans one more time for showing up and bringing the energy to Kentucky‘s win over Florida this past weekend. He spread the love to his coaches and players, too.
“I really want to give a shout out and appreciation for the great fan base,” Stoops said in his opening remarks. “I thought it was a tremendous atmosphere at noon. As I mentioned last Monday, I didn’t think that was gonna be a problem and it was really a great atmosphere. And again, credit to our coaches and our players I thought they came out very fast to a very disciplined week of practice and a sense of urgency just to get better.”
Onto the game in front of the Wildcats, Stoops previewed Georgia with recognition of all of the Bulldogs’ recent success and the current makeup of Kirby Smart’s 2023 team.

“It’s certainly a uniquely talented football team across the board,” he said. “They do a great job of recruiting players that are very good players, but they work hard. They’re fundamentally sound and obviously, they’re well coached.”
Stoops called the trip to Athens a huge opportunity for the Wildcats. For more from Stoops in Monday’s conversation, hit play below for KSR’s video of the Week 6 press conference.
