Mark Stoops moved on from Kentucky‘s loss at Georgia with a lengthy Sunday film session to diagnose his team’s problems in Athens. Today, his Wildcats return to practice in Lexington to prepare for Missouri. Before the team’s Monday meeting, Mizzou Week began on campus with Stoops’ Monday afternoon press conference at Kroger Field.

Stoops opened the Monday conversation with a summary of Kentucky’s disappointing effort and performance in a huge opportunity at Georgia.

“The number one topic we talk about is handling the environment, and obviously we did not handle that situation and environment that game very well, at any level,” Stoops said in his opening remarks. “Just outcoached and outplayed in every area, and we need to get back to work and be a better football team.”

Looking forward, he sees one of the league’s best-passing attacks coming to Lexington. Missouri’s Brady Cook and Luther Burden are two of the best statistically at their positions, and Stoops is very respectful of Missouri head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and how his Tigers are playing this year.
