Matt Bevin announced his first budget this evening. With many cuts expected, this announcement came as a bit of a surprise. The Wildcat Coal Lodge, home of the basketball team, will receive a $21 million renovation and expansion,
only four years after it opened in 2012.
Most of the new dorms on campus are private entities, but in the deal with EdR, The Lodge was an exception, making it a public entity available to receive public funds.
In other news on postsecondary education funding, all future public money will be allocated based on outcomes.
