There are some changes coming to Memorial Coliseum.
The home of the Kentucky women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams will add a new video board at the front entrance and ribbon boards along the mezzanine level .
First reported by Jen Smith, the changes will be made before the start of the 2018-19 women's basketball season.
The giant state of the art scoreboard will be on the wall that currently holds championship banners, which will be pushed to either side of the new board. On the opposite end, the old scoreboard will be replaced with new ribbon boards.
Similar to the Rupp Arena renovation project, UK is opting to make minor changes instead of completely renovating the entire arena. The major renovations call for upgrades to restrooms, the HVAC system and the addition of a club section, but they come with an expensive price tag.
