Mikel Brown Jr. has locked in a Kentucky visit. The five-star guard will take his official visit to UK from September 27 to 29, a source tells KSR+.

The 6-foot-3, 165-pound point guard from DME Academy (Daytona Beach, FL) has already taken official visits to Alabama, Ole Miss, and Providence. He is also set to visit Indiana during the weekend of Sept. 13.

Schools like Louisville and Texas have been in contact about upcoming visits. Meanwhile, Alabama, Ole Miss, Villanova, and Illinois also want him to get on campus.

“[Mark Pope] said I’m one of the players who can fit his system and fit what he’s trying to accomplish in winning a championship there,” Brown told KSR+ after his offer from UK in June. “He thinks I’m the best fit for his program. It was a great conversation.”

Mikel Brown Jr.’s Game

Five-star forward Mikel Brown Jr. of DME Academy (FL) is the nation’s No. 12 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Brown as the No. 15 player overall, the No. 2-ranked point guard, and the overall No. 2 player from Florida.

“I’m just a really good point guard who always wants to lead his team,” Brown told KSR+ in June. “If you need me to make plays, I can make plays. If you need me to score, I can score. I have all the aspects as far as offense and defense. I can guard the other point guard and disrupt their offense as well.”
