Kentucky will host Cincinnati commit Mikkel Skinner for unofficial visit
Kentucky lost a priority target in the 2025 high school recruiting cycle when Ohio State entered the chat late and landed Brody Lennon. That was a tough loss but another four-star prospect has emerged.
Greer (S.C.) Riverside tight end Mikkel Skinner will take a trip to Lexington for an unofficial visit with Kentucky, KSR has confirmed.
The four-star recruit is a top-10 player in the Palmetto State who has been committed to Cincinnati since June 9. However, Kentucky tight ends coach Vince Marrow issued an offer to the four-star recruit on July 10. Two weeks later, Mikkel Skinner will make an appearance on campus.

July 25-31 serves as the last window until the season starts to host prospects on campus. Some programs are having full-on junior days over the weekend getting boatloads of 2026 prospects on campus and also attempting to close on 2025 prospects. Kentucky will do the latter before another dead period arrives on Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 31. This will be the last year of late July visits after the NCAA decided to make the entire month a dead period in the 2025 cycle.
Kentucky currently owns 17 commits in the 2025 cycle. After flipping tailback Jason Patterson from Cincinnati last cycle, the Wildcats will look to do the same with Mikkel Skinner.
