The year of the quarterback injury in the SEC continues.
This evening, Missouri star quarterback Kelly Bryant took a late hit to the knee on the team’s final drive of the second half against Troy, forcing him to miss the rest of the game.
After looking at the replay, it certainly didn’t look good, as the Troy pass-rusher very obviously took out Bryant’s left leg after the ball was out of his hand.
Kelly Bryant just threw a TD to put Mizzou up 42-7 on Troy and this happened to his left knee as he got hit late.

Missouri proceeded to take down Troy by a final score of 42-10, failing to score a single point in the second half following Bryant’s injury.
As bad as things looked, though, Missouri team doctor Jonathan Nance said that “everything’s fine,” with other Tiger reporters indicating that the injury doesn’t appear to be serious.

Jonathan Nance on Kelly Bryant: “He’s good. Everything’s fine.”
— Peter Baugh (@Peter_Baugh) October 6, 2019
Kentucky takes on Missouri at home on October 26, just three weeks from today. While the school believes the injury won’t be a serious one, it remains to be seen whether or not he will miss time in the immediate future while he recovers.
Just six weeks into the season, starting quarterbacks Jake Bentley (South Carolina), Terry Wilson (Kentucky), and Feleipe Franks (Florida) have all suffered season-ending injuries, while multiple other starters such as Tommy Stevens (Mississippi State) and Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee) have also dealt with other injuries, as well.
