LouCity topped FC Cincinnati 5-0 in front of the club's first ever sell-out crowd of 13,812 fans Saturday night - less than a month after setting the club's attendance record with 11,632 spectators in a 3-2 loss on July 15. Posting record crowds in back-to-back home games is a product of the momentum surrounding LouCity after the club announced plans to build their own stadium in April.  Since then, the fan base has continued to swell thanks to the timing of the season. The United Soccer League plays a majority of their season between college basketball and football seasons, leaving LouCity the option to fill the void for sports fans in Louisville. LouCity is also able bridge the gap between UofL and Kentucky fans, uniting them to cheer for a professional team in a state that is lacking one. Last night was a prime example of how far this team's fan base has come. LouCity fans created an electric environment to help boost the club to their first win over FC Cincinnati this season and it didn't go without notice. "I didn’t think it would be almost 14,000, so I think it was really important that they saw a good game," midfielder Niall McCabe said following Saturday's game. "Hopefully now they keep coming back – now until the end of the season –just keep coming back and enjoying what we have to put out there."
