BW-5168 It's Monday morning. I hate Monday mornings. You hate Monday mornings. Everyone hates Monday mornings. Let's suck it up and carpe this diem.   1. Catch up on all of the Blue-White spring game talk. Kentucky's Blue-White spring game was a big success on Friday night as fans were introduced to the new look of Mark Stoops' Wildcats. If you missed the action for whatever inexcusable reason, you can get caught up on what all went down by following our outstanding coverage of the game from Nick Roush, Jack Pilgrim and Freddie Maggard:

We have plenty more spring game talk to come. 2. Kentucky picked up a football commitment Three-star wide receiver Cadarius Gaskin committed to UK over N.C. State, Syracuse, Illinois and West Virginia on Sunday. Gaskin announced the news via his Twitter, telling his fans and followers:
"To begin with I want to thank god in light of the fact that without him this wouldn't be conceivable. I want to thank every University/Institutes that offered me full scholarships. Be that as it may, I want to thank my mother and my family and my mentors and partners. Yet, this is a fantasy come true... I am extremely glad to declare that I am committing to the University of Kentucky #BBN"
He is the third Florida recruit and second wide receiver in Kentucky's 2018 class. 3. Jarred Vanderbilt's X-ray results to come out today. We should soon know the extent of that injury Vanderbilt suffered Friday night in the Jordan Brand Classic. One of Kentucky's prized five-star recruits, Vanderbilt reportedly flew back to Houston for the X-ray and his father told T.J. Walker the results would be known today. Hopefully it is nothing significant because Vanderbilt's stock has been rising in recent weeks and fans are excited to see him in Lexington next season. 4. Cam Johnson hosted a ton of coaches over the weekend. One of the four remaining players on John Calipari's big board for the 2017 class opened his family home to several suitors over the weekend. Cam Johnson was paid in-home visits by TCU, Illinois, Ole Miss, Oregon, Rutgers, South Carolina, Florida and Michigan, in that order, before Easter dinner Sunday night. Johnson plans to start taking his visits after his graduation at the end of this month and then narrow his decision down some time after that. 5. Mark Smith will visit Kentucky soon. One of the other four players on the board, Mark Smith, plans to visit Lexington, although he doesn't know when. After contributing seven points and six rebounds in the Kentucky Derby Festival Classic on Saturday, Smith confirmed the visit is still on, despite the recent addition of Jemarl Baker, and he is excited to get to Lexington to chat with Calipari and the UK players. 6. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stole the show in Louisville. Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 29 points with nine rebounds and six assists to lead his team to a 122-109 victory in the Derby Classic. The performance earned him MVP honors in the game. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1200"]@KDFPrez @KDFPrez[/caption] The Kentucky signee also won the Classic's three-point contest, drawing boos from the UofL fans in attendance. #TheyMad 7. John Wall went off in Game 1 win. Wall scored 32 points and dished out 14 assists in a very physical Game 1 in the Wizards' series with the Atlanta Hawks. The former Wildcat set a new playoff high in scoring in the win, while the Hawks' Twitter account made me laugh during the game: https://twitter.com/ATLHawks/status/853685298055847936 Why is NBA Twitter so funny? 8. Off Topic: I watched The Founder last night and it was good. And I almost died at dinner. It was movie night at the Franklin house and The Founder starring Michael Keaton as McDonald's founder Ray Kroc was the pick. I really enjoyed the movie as it taught me a lot about how McDonald's came to be and how Kroc was a snake who didn't actually start McDonald's. The movie took my mind off my near-death experience at dinner when a storm put a patio umbrella through the window of a restaurant right by our table. I almost died eating Mexican, which is the way I've always imagined it will happen. 9. United Airlines can't stop, won't stop. The heel turn is complete with yet ANOTHER controversy aboard a United flight. This time, United kicked a bride and groom off one of its flights to Costa Rica; the couple was traveling to THEIR WEDDING. The airline and the couple tell two different stories, but I'm believing the one that makes United look worse because I'm loving the heel turn. Read the whole story here. (The couple is probably at fault.) 10. KSR morning radio is back to look back at a very busy weekend. Tune in to Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond in an hour to hear what they have to say about everything. Go Cats.
