We have plenty more spring game talk to come. 2. Kentucky picked up a football commitment Three-star wide receiver Cadarius Gaskin committed to UK over N.C. State, Syracuse, Illinois and West Virginia on Sunday. Gaskin announced the news via his Twitter, telling his fans and followers:"To begin with I want to thank god in light of the fact that without him this wouldn't be conceivable. I want to thank every University/Institutes that offered me full scholarships. Be that as it may, I want to thank my mother and my family and my mentors and partners. Yet, this is a fantasy come true... I am extremely glad to declare that I am committing to the University of Kentucky #BBN"He is the third Florida recruit and second wide receiver in Kentucky's 2018 class. 3. Jarred Vanderbilt's X-ray results to come out today. We should soon know the extent of that injury Vanderbilt suffered Friday night in the Jordan Brand Classic. One of Kentucky's prized five-star recruits, Vanderbilt reportedly flew back to Houston for the X-ray and his father told T.J. Walker the results would be known today. Hopefully it is nothing significant because Vanderbilt's stock has been rising in recent weeks and fans are excited to see him in Lexington next season. 4. Cam Johnson hosted a ton of coaches over the weekend. One of the four remaining players on John Calipari's big board for the 2017 class opened his family home to several suitors over the weekend. Cam Johnson was paid in-home visits by TCU, Illinois, Ole Miss, Oregon, Rutgers, South Carolina, Florida and Michigan, in that order, before Easter dinner Sunday night. Johnson plans to start taking his visits after his graduation at the end of this month and then narrow his decision down some time after that. 5. Mark Smith will visit Kentucky soon. One of the other four players on the board, Mark Smith, plans to visit Lexington, although he doesn't know when. After contributing seven points and six rebounds in the Kentucky Derby Festival Classic on Saturday, Smith confirmed the visit is still on, despite the recent addition of Jemarl Baker, and he is excited to get to Lexington to chat with Calipari and the UK players. 6. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stole the show in Louisville. Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 29 points with nine rebounds and six assists to lead his team to a 122-109 victory in the Derby Classic. The performance earned him MVP honors in the game. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1200"]
