Kentucky signee Montavin Quisenberry named Gatorade Player of the Year
Kentucky complete a flip for West Virginia commit Montavin Quisenberry in Ocotober and signed the Danville (Ky.) Boyle County product in the early signing period. The three-star recruit will join a Kentucky wide receiver room that is undergoing a massive overhaul. There could be an opportunity for playing time in year one.
The newest Wildcat will join that room with some hardware to bring to his dorm room on the University of Kentucky campus. The Boyle County standout was named Kentucky’s Gatorade Player of the Year on Friday. That award recognizes athletic excellence, academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field.
Montavin Quisenberry enerated 3,340 yards from scrimmage and 56 total touchdowns as a junior and senior at Boyle County. The Kentucky signee was a versatile playmaker who will need to find a permanent positional home at the next level. Quisenberry will almost always be the smallest player on the field at the next level but projects as a slot receiver who can provide a gadget skill set used in the run, screen, and return game
