More bloody Wildcats as Kentucky trails Alabama 45-38 at the half

Andrew Carr picked up three quick fouls to play just seven first-half minutes while Otega Oweh was limited to nine minutes after missing extended time in the locker room after taking an elbow to the face — two days in a row with a bloody Wildcat. Considering Lamont Butler’s late scratch and Jaxson Robinson’s continued absence, personnel was a serious, serious issue for Kentucky against a team it really couldn’t afford any additional setbacks, Alabama among the most dangerous offenses in college basketball.
Still, though, the Crimson Tide lead by just seven points at the break with a 45-38 score, shooting 43.2 percent overall and 84.6 percent at the line, but just 15.4 percent from three. On the other end, the Wildcats are shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from deep and 78.6 percent at the line.
