More details emerge on Andre Riddick's arrest
On Saturday, Andre Riddick was arrested in Campbell County for public intoxication, fourth-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. This morning, the Herald-Leader published more details on the incident and they’re not pretty.
According to the police report, Riddick is accused of picking up his girlfriend, pushing or tossing her down the stairs, and punching her in the chest in a parking garage outside a bar on Newport on the Levee. The victim cried out for help and witnesses and security called 911. Police noted that Riddick smelled of alcohol and resisted arrest, yelling at the deputy and struggling as he was handcuffed and put in the back of the cruiser.
Riddick played at Kentucky from 1991-95 and ranks fifth on Kentucky’s all-time shot blocking list (212). He lives in the Northern Kentucky area, where he owns and operates ARJ Basketball Training.
