Last night, we told you how Neal Brown and John Schlarman traveled through the winter storm in Birmingham on Tuesday to see 3-star center Bunchy Stallings, who committed to UK last night.  The two flew into Birmingham Tuesday morning and it took them around eight hours to get through the icy roads to Spain Park High School, where Bunchy and his classmates were stranded because of the bad weather.  Spain Park head coach Shawn Raney told AL.com's Jeff Sentell that showed him how much they wanted Stallings:
"They said their flight arrived at around 10 in the morning and then it took them like seven or eight hours to get to Spain Park," Raney said. "They finally got to Valleydale (Road) and weren't allowed to go any further. So they got out on foot and walked the rest of the way to the school. That's crazy to hear, isn't it?"
It left a big impression on Bunchy, too:
"I was stuck at Spain Park yesterday and had to spend the night," Stallings said. "I was finally allowed to leave home at about 12 o'clock today and go home. But I'm proud to say that Kentucky was stuck in it with me a little bit. ... They had to walk like the last mile to come to my school. That was a big part of my decision. I just felt real comfortable with them after they did something like that."
Talk about going the extra mile. [Snow day leads to Spain Park's Jervontius Stallings pledging to play for Kentucky]
