5-Star Forward Nate Ament Postpones Kentucky Visit
2025 five-star forward Nate Ament has postponed his upcoming official visit to Kentucky, a source has confirmed to KSR+. Ament was originally set to visit Kentucky on Aug. 28, as first reported by KSR+.
The 6-foot-9, 185-pound small forward from Highland (Manassas, VA) is looking to take several upcoming official visits. On3 national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw reports that Ament is planning to officially visit Louisville, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Georgetown, Kansas State, Duke, UNC, Oregon, Michigan, Texas, Virginia, and UConn.
The On3 Industry Ranking currently has Ament as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2025 class. However, On3 is the highest on Ament, ranking him No. 3 overall.
Nate Ament Could Challenge for No. 1 Overall Pick in 2026
Nate Ament’s upside is sky-high. The untapped potential is noticeable at 6-foot-9 with a lengthy frame.
“While Nate Ament has been ranked as a top fifteen player in this class since October of 2023, and this is his fourth update inside of the top ten, this summer Ament turned the corner,” On3’s Jamie Shaw wrote earlier this month. The physicality and the toughness took things to a new level, bolting Ament into the top three.”

Ament trails only AJ Dybantsa and Cameron Boozer in On3’s 2025 recruiting rankings. Shaw recently included Ament among the top passer/court vision in the 2025 class.
“Ament is comfortable on the ball,” Shaw wrote. “Just as much as getting a shot off with his lengthy 6-foot-9 frame, he is able to get into the teeth of the defense and spray a pass to an open teammate. Ament is comfortable as the primary guy in the pick-and-roll and he has ability, off a live dribble, with either hand to hit the open player across the defense.”
