We found out Reed Sheppard will continue to honor his dad in the NBA by wearing No. 15 with the Houston Rockets. Sheppard, who had worn No. 3 throughout his high school playing days, switched to No. 15 at Kentucky as a nod to his father, Jeff, who earned Final Four MVP wearing the same digits. Jeff also wore No. 15 during his short stent with the Atlanta Hawks in 1999.

Rob Dillingham, who came off the board 8th overall and landed with the Timberwolves after a trade, will wear No. 4 for Minnesota. He showed off his new threads at an introductory press conference on Wednesday.

We also know what numbers Kentucky’s other rookies will rock to begin their professional careers.

Antonio Reeves will keep his college number in New Orleans

Down in New Orleans, Antonio Reeves will keep his college number and wear No. 12 for the Pelicans, a team that drafted him with the 47th overall pick in the NBA draft. Reeves wore No. 12 at Kentucky and Iowa State, where he played his first three collegiate seasons.

Earlier this week, the NBA gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at his first photo shoot in his new jersey. The most recent player to wear No. 12 for New Orleans was Kaiser Gates last season, but he is no longer with the team.

In a player introduction video, Reeves talked about how, in addition to shooting, he’s also an insanely good bowler.

Justin Edwards will wear No. 19 for the Philadelphia 76ers

Big Blue Nation is still in a bit of shock that Justin Edward went undrafted, however, he landed in a good spot. The former Wildcat signed a two-way contract with his hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers, and is ready to prove his naysayers wrong.

We do not yet have any released photos, but the 76ers’ Summer League roster came out and revealed Justin Edwards will wear No. 19 for Philadelphia. The last player to wear #19 for the Sixers was Raul Neto in 2020.

Numbers like No. 1, which is what Edwards wore at Kentucky, are usually not available for two-way players, but if Edwards makes the team’s opening day roster, there could be an opportunity for him to change jersey numbers, should he so choose.

If you could only pick one jersey to buy between Reed Sheppard, Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, and Justin Edwards, which one would you choose?
