As the Kentucky men’s basketball team prepares for its Friday evening exhibition matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan, the Wildcats saw a key player return to practice this week.

Previously limited due to a minor shoulder injury, Jacob Toppin was a full-contact participant in practice on Thursday, the school revealed. The junior forward was shown scrimmaging with the team in a 50-second highlight clip posted by UK.

Toppin is clearly shown at the 15-second mark finishing a layup in traffic, assisted by Sahvir Wheeler. Among the other highlights? 3-pointers by Keion Brooks Jr., Davion Mintz, TyTy Washington and Dontaie Allen, a jump hook by Lance Ware, a block by Bryce Hopkins and a strong finish in transition by Oscar Tshiebwe.

Kentucky will face someone other than themselves for the first time this season when Kentucky Wesleyan comes to town Friday evening. The Wildcats will take on the Panthers at Rupp Arena in the first of two exhibition games this season. The game will be televised live on SEC Network at 7 p.m. ET.

From there, Kentucky will take on Miles College next Friday at 7 p.m. at Rupp Arena before the team heads to New York for its season-opener against Duke in the Champions Classic. That game will tip at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Basketball season is here, BBN.
