New Kentucky basketball practice highlights are here!
I’m like a kid running down the stairs on Christmas morning — new Kentucky basketball practice highlights are here! And there’s a whole lot to like about them, starting with the fact that full-court five-on-five scrimmages are officially underway.
It may not be a ton time-wise at 55 seconds, but the video crew managed to pack quite a bit of content in there to quench Big Blue Nation’s thirst for content. Among the key takeaways? An early look at potential lineup combinations and player roles.
The Blue Team is made up of Kerr Kriisa, Jaxson Robinson, Trent Noah, Andrew Carr and Amari Williams while the White Team includes Lamont Butler, Travis Perry, Otega Oweh, Ansley Almonor and Brandon Garrison. Koby Brea and Collin Chandler are spotted on the sideline during the scrimmage portion, the latter jumping in at the end for three-on-three.
Five-on-five gets rolling with an opening tip between Williams and Garrison, won by the Drexel transfer.
Carr quickly finds Kriisa for a catch-and-shoot three from the left wing, Almonor on the contest. Oweh responds on the other end with a similar make, this time with Robinson in his face. Williams then cuts down the lane for a double-pump slam through contact by Perry, followed by Almonor on a right-corner three, narrowly keeping his toes inbounds.

From there, get Kriisa rejecting Williams’ screen in favor of the stepback three, followed by a dump-off from Williams to Kriisa for a pull-up three on Perry. Oweh responds with a grown-man drive in the lane for a tough bucket on Noah and over Williams. Butler then gets in on the action with a pull-up three on the dump-off from Garrison. And then to wrap things up, Oweh slices through the lane for the step-through bucket over Noah and Carr.
Again, it’s a minute of footage, but Kriisa and Oweh are the clear winners in this edition of condensed practice highlights.

I don’t know about you, but I could do a new one of those every day and twice on Sunday. There is no such thing as too much Kentucky basketball.
I like my team.
