Nigel Glover, 4-Star Northwestern Transfer, Commits to Ohio State
The unexpected late-July recruitment of Nigel Glover has come to a close. After a whirlwind week of visits, the Ohio linebacker committed to Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over Kentucky and Michigan.
Nigel Glover wasn’t supposed to spend the final week of the summer on recruiting visits. He planned on suiting up for the Northwestern Wildcats this fall. Plans changed when Pat Fitzgerald was fired in the wake of widespread hazing investigation at the school.

Glover was the highest-ranked player in the highest-ranked class Fitzgerald ever signed in Evanston. The beat goes on in the Buckeye State. When Ohio State wants an in-state prospect, they usually land them. Despite not offering Nigel Glover until he entered the transfer portal, the allure of wearing the scarlet and gray was just too hard to turn down. Kentucky and Michigan both made a strong run at the Northwestern transfer hosting the prospect for an official visit, but Ryan Day’s program landed the Big Ten a day before fall camp begins.
Kentucky will enter the 2023 season with six scholarship linebackers on the roster.
