No. 14 Kentucky Downs Georgia for Fifth-Straight Win on the Road
Thanks to a match-high 16 kills from sophomore Brooklyn DeLeye, the No. 14 Kentucky volleyball team picked up a fifth-straight victory on the road as they downed Georgia in straight sets (26-24, 25-15, 25-16) Sunday down in Athens.
With DeLeye leading the charge, Kentucky found the floor with 45 team kills on a .356 hitting clip. Senior setter Emma Grome dished out 40 assists as four Wildcats totaled eight or more kills on the afternoon.
DeLeye led the way with 16 terminations, but Megan Wilson and Asia Thigpen weren’t far behind as they each recorded nine kills of their own. Brooke Bultema added eight on a .700 clip and Jordyn Dailey pitched in three.
Defensively the Cats continued to impress as they limited the Bulldogs to a hitting clip of just .088. Georgia failed to see a player eclipse double figures and totaled only 25 kills as a team.

Dailey was a large part of that, as she finished the game with a match-high six blocks. Bultema, Grome and Wilson each added three, Thigpen had two, and DeLeye added one.
On the back line, the story of the afternoon was Kentucky’s balance as five Wildcats added four or more digs to the final box score. Molly Tuozzo, Eleanor Beavin, and DeLeye each had six, Ava Sarafa had five, and Thigpen contributed four.
With the win, Kentucky improves to 14-7 on the season and 8-2 in the Southeastern Conference. With Texas losing again on Sunday, the Cats now sit atop the league. Next up, the Cats will head back to Lexington for a matchup with Texas A&M Friday night inside Memorial. First serve against the Aggies is set for 7:00 pm ET.
