No. 2 prospect Dereck Lively II will announce his decision on Sept. 20
Dereck Lively II, Kentucky’s top remaining recruiting target in the class of 2022, is ready to announce his final decision.
The nation’s No. 2 overall prospect has set a commitment date for Monday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. ET. He will officially choose between Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC.
The 7-foot-2 center announced his decision date Friday afternoon.
Lively is considered the consensus No. 2 prospect in high school basketball, with On3, 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN all listing him as the top-ranked center in the nation.

As for a likely favorite, there are three total Crystal Ball and FutureCast predictions for Lively between 247Sports and Rivals, with all three favoring Kentucky.
Could Kentucky add the No. 2 prospect in the nation to go with the No. 1 (Sharpe) and No. 4 (Chris Livingston) players? We’ll find out Monday.
