Las Vegas is siding with the Wildcats heading into the team’s first SEC road game of the 2024-25 season.

According to FanDuel, No. 6 Kentucky (12-2) opened as a 2.5-point favorite against the Georgia Bulldogs (12-2) with the over/under set at 156.5. Tipoff is set for Tuesday night in Athens at 7:00 p.m. EST on the SEC Network. Head coach Mark Pope and his Wildcats are coming off a 106-100 win at home in the SEC opener against No. 8 Florida.

Looking at some computer projections, KenPom and BartTorvik call for Kentucky to win in a close battle. Both outlets predict a low-scoring 78-77 win for the Wildcats. Meanwhile, ESPN gives UK a 53.0 percent chance of pulling out a victory. That might seem like a low amount of points for Kentucky’s top-five scoring offense, but keep in mind Georgia will come into this game sporting a top-30 defense.

The Bulldogs will mark just the second “true” road opponent of the season for Kentucky. The first came back on Dec. 3 when UK fell to Clemson 70-66. The ‘Cats came into that game also as 2.5-point favorites. We’ll be hoping for a different outcome by the end of Tuesday night.
