Numbers You Need to Know: Kentucky vs. Alabama
Alabama and Kentucky could produce one high-flying matchup Saturday night at Coleman Coliseum. When you look at all of the numbers you need to know, on paper this should produce an entertaining night of basketball.
2 — Straight wins by Alabama over Kentucky. The Crimson Tide swept UK last season for the first time since the Cats were on probation in 1989. Bama has won three of the last five meetings. Kentucky’s last win at Coleman Coliseum was in 2017.
4 — Where UK ranks nationally in KenPom’s offensive efficiency. Alabama is just behind at No. 8 in that statistical category. They are the two top-scoring offenses in the SEC. Kentucky ranks 19th defensively according to KenPom, but Alabama is all the way down at No. 77.
4.3 — Assists per game by Alabama point guard Jahvon Quinerly are the fifth-most in the SEC.
6 — Different Kentucky Wildcats have scored 20 or more points in a game this season.
7.05 — Assists per game by Sahvir Wheeler are the most in the Power Five, ranking fourth nationally.
