Numbers You Need to Know: Kentucky vs. Florida
As tip-off between Kentucky and Florida draws near, let’s take one final look at all of the stats and numbers you need to know about the two teams.
1 — Florida is currently the “first team out” of the NCAA Tournament, according to Joe Lunardi. Firmly on the bubble, a win could go a long way to make sure Mike White’s team doesn’t miss out on March Madness.
1.5 — Oscar Tshiebwe is the only major conference player to average at least 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.
2 — Wins by Mike White at Rupp Arena, including a 71-67 victory last February in Lexington. He is 4-8 against the Wildcats as the Gators’ head coach.
2.83 — Blocks per game by Colin Castleton are the second-most in the SEC and ranks 17th nationally. He also ranks second in the SEC to Tshiebwe in field goal percentage (54%) and third in rebounds per game (8.9).
4 — Straight victories by the Gators since dropping back-to-back losses to Tennessee and Ole Miss with Castleton sidelined by a shoulder injury. He’s averaging 15 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in the two games since his return.
6 — Wildcats have scored more than 20+ points in a game this season. Six reached double figures Tuesday night against South Carolina.

7 — Three-pointers Myreon Jones hit against Georgia Wednesday night are the most by a Gator in three seasons. He’s making 34.6% of his attempts from long range this year.
11 — Times Kentucky has held its opponent under 40% from the field this year. The Wildcats have won all 11 games.
13.3 — Florida’s steal percentage ranks 11th nationally. The Gators force 15.5 turnovers per game, ranking No. 30 in all of college basketball.
18 — Double-doubles by Oscar Tshiebwe are the second-most in the country. He leads the nation in rebounds (15.1) and offensive rebounds per game (5).
24.8 — The average NET ranking of Kentucky’s next five opponents. Florida is weighing that average down at No. 47. The Wildcats rank fourth.
