Ole Miss plans to "Stripe Out" its stadium for the Kentucky game
Kentucky fans traveling to Oxford in a few weeks will encounter a carefully choreographed theme game when the Wildcats play at Ole Miss. The Rebels plan to “Stripe The Vaught” on Saturday, September 28th, when Ole Miss hosts Kentucky at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The stripe-out calls for Ole Miss fans to alternate red and powder blue sections around the stadium. There’s even a map to help coordinate. It’s a whole thing.
If the concept sounds familiar, it may be because Kentucky played in the first-ever “Stripe The Vaught” game. In 2022, Ole Miss fans rotated red and navy around Vaught-Hemingway for the Rebels’ 22-19 win on homecoming, a heartbreaker for the Wildcats.

You remember. An illegal motion penalty nullified Kentucky’s potential game-winning touchdown, and then Will Levis fumbled on the next play, costing Kentucky a road win against the 14th-ranked team in the country in the first “Stripe The Vaught” game. Here’s the view from my seat that day:
Last season, Ole Miss won another close “Stripe The Vaught” game, narrowly beating Arkansas with a fourth-quarter comeback.
