On3's fan site mobile app to launch this week
This one has been a long time coming. It is sort of like that trip you booked months ago and time somehow slows down every day until its arrival. Or perhaps the start of the Kentucky football season that we’ve just been inching towards for seemingly an eternity. But finally, (and this should probably be said in my best Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson impression), finally, On3 will have a mobile app.
CEO Shannon Terry announced on Twitter that the official On3 fan site mobile app will launch either Thursday or Friday this week. The news of an impending app has been floating around On3 message boards all summer but it turns out Apple has a fairly strenuous vetting process before it allows any ole schlub to put an app in the App Store.
Just to put a star on this point, Terry included a screenshot of the email from Apple stating the app’s approval, complete with a gigantic “Congratulations” sprawled across the top.
Don’t fret all you green-bubble heathens. The app is coming to the Android platform as well. You’ll be able to download it from the…Android application space…or whatever you outcasts call it. Unlike all of your friends with iPhones on a group text, On3 did not exclude you.

The app is going to be awesome. KSR apps of the past have been hit-or-miss (mostly miss), but this version will be legit. Not only will you be able to easily scroll through all the latest Kentucky sports news, but you will also have easy access to the plethora of other On3 fan sites. Feel free to troll at your leisure.
On top of the site itself, KSR+ subscribers will have a clean interface to interact with KSBoard. The community has been an incredible breath of fresh Internet air, even during the offseason, so I can’t wait to see what it looks like once football and basketball season begin.
More info will come out on the launch day, but pencil in the end of the week for the day you’ve long been waiting for (or didn’t know you needed).
