It takes the folks in the desert a little bit longer to crunch the numbers for FCS games. On the eve of Kentucky vs. Youngstown State, Las Vegas has released a point spread.

Kentucky opens as a 25.5-point favorite over Youngstown State, according to Vegas Insider. The line has already moved to UK -27.5 at WynnBet. With a total of 54.5, Vegas is projecting around a 41-14 victory for UK.

The Kentucky football team is 2-0 against the spread (ATS) in 2022. Against FCS foes Mark Stoops is 8-0, but only 3-5 ATS. This week’s spread against Youngstown State is the lowest against an FCS team since the Wildcats were 21-point favorites over UT-Martin in 2014; Kentucky won 59-14.

If you believe in advanced stats, ESPN’s SP+ ranks Youngstown State as the No. 18 team in FCS football. Despite that high ranking, Billy Connelly’s numbers still call for a 39.5-point Kentucky win with a projected score of 44-5.
