Oregon State transfer guard Dominika Paurová commits to Kentucky WBB
Possibly the final piece to the puzzle has been added to Kenny Brooks‘ first team at Kentucky.
Oregon State transfer Dominika Paurová announced Wednesday afternoon on social media that she will be transferring to Kentucky. She will be a sophomore this upcoming season with three years of eligibility remaining.
During her freshman season in Corvallis, Paurová averaged 5.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while also shooting 37.2% from three-point range. Her best outing actually came in the first round of the NCAA Tournament when she scored 17 points on 6-8 (3-4 3PT) shooting against Eastern Washington.
In the PAC-12, Paurová had to go up against some of the toughest teams in all of the land such as Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Colorado. However, the young guard proved that she could eat with the big dogs.
Before she arrived at Oregon State, she was a main contributor for the Czech Republic National Team. She even averaged 9.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the U20 squad as the youngest player on the court.

Additionally, Paurová was a candidate to be the MVP of the 2022 U18 FIBA European Championships where she averaged 14.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Despite her youth, Paurová has proven time and time again that she can get the job done.
This season, she’ll join a loaded backcourt as a highly valuable depth piece. She’ll get to learn from the likes of Jordan Obi before she rides off into the sunset. Then, competing against Lexi Blue and the rest of the backcourt in practice will only help her in her development.
Paurová may be coming off the bench this season, but expect her to be a big contributor for the ‘Cats in a year or two.
