Kentucky is no longer in contention for blue-chip QB Oscar Rios

The June recruiting blitz will be ending soon. That means final decisions are now being made. Kentucky is officially out of the running for one of the highest-ranked players on their recruiting board at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
Downey (Calif.) High quarterback Oscar Rios is down to two schools. The four-star prospect will be staying on the West Coast to begin his college football journey.
Kentucky hosted the former Purdue commit in April for an official visit. Oscar Rios also made official visit trips to Virginia Tech, Utah, UCLA, and Arizona. Two schools have emerged from the rest of the field. In his visit to see the Bruins, Rios ran into Adam Sandler. Did Bobby Boucher just win a recruitment for the Bruins?

The Cats now shift their focus to four-star quarterback Matt Ponatoski. Ohio Mr. Football just took an unexpected visit to UK on Monday. Ponatoski is currently out at the Elite 11 finals with Rios in Los Angeles. It would not be a surprise to see both uncommitted quarterback prospects end their recruitments shortly after that.
